Plausible gives you an at-a-glance view of how people find and use your website in a single analytics dashboard. You can track key actions and conversions, measure campaign performance with UTM parameters, and see live traffic updates.
How does Plausible handle privacy—does it use cookies or store personal data?
Plausible does not use cookies and does not store personal data that can identify individuals. It processes analytics data anonymously using irreversibly hashed visitor identifiers, and the raw IP address and User-Agent are not stored in logs, databases, or on disk.
Where is data stored, and what security controls are in place?
Visitor data is kept encrypted in Germany on EU-owned servers, and Plausible encrypts data in transit and secures it at rest. You can also enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and use single sign-on (SSO), with firewalled, user-restricted access and logged internal access.
Can I export my analytics data and delete it if I need to?
Yes. You can export your data at any time in CSV format or via the stats API. You can also permanently delete your Plausible account and permanently delete all of your site data whenever you want.
Can Plausible help me track goals, events, and conversion funnels?
You can turn any page into a goal and track actions like file downloads, form completions, and external link clicks. Plausible also supports custom events and conversion funnels so you can see where visitors drop off.
