No. Gumroad lets creators publish and sell digital products from their storefront and share the canonical product short URL for customers to purchase.
How do creator storefronts, product links, and Discover work together?
Each creator gets a storefront on a subdomain (https://{username}.gumroad.com), and each product has a canonical short page (https://gumroad.com/l/{permalink}). Discover is the marketplace-wide browse and search surface, with category and nested subcategory pages like https://gumroad.com/{category} and https://gumroad.com/{category}/{subcategory}.
How much does Gumroad charge per sale if customers buy from my link vs Discover?
Gumroad charges 10% + $0.50 per transaction for sales made through a creator’s own profile or direct links, and 30% per transaction when a new customer finds the product through Discover.
Does Gumroad handle international sales tax for creators?
Yes. Gumroad is the merchant of record and handles sales tax collection and remittance worldwide.
Is there a public API for managing products and sales?
Yes. Gumroad offers public REST API documentation for products, sales, subscribers, and licenses, with additional guidance available in the Help Center for creators and customers.
